Who I am
I just started sourcing and selling collectibles in January 2026. I’m hoping to get a booth or small storefront in Oldham County sometime in the near future, so if you know anyone looking to show collectibles let me know!
I take authenticity very seriously so if you have any doubts about anything be sure to reach out. A lot of vetting is done by auction houses that I buy from, as well as the wealthy estates items are sourced from, but I always do my own research and check once an item is received.
I typically only like to sell items that are historically identifiable, meaning it can be traced to a very specific period in time, a specific person or a specific company etc.
Association Trace (Personal Identification): I like to verify identity through personal signatures, corporate production codes, family heraldry, or ownership stamps. We want to know whose hands held this object before yours.
Temporal Anchoring (Specific Context): I try to pin every item to a specific historical window based on the clues on the object or where the object came from
Logical Wear and Condition - the specific way a book is soiled or a coin is worn that proves it actually lived through the history it claims to represent. There are some instances of mint condition collectibles, but these are often seldom come by as many are in high end galleries
In a world of digital replicas and mass-produced "vintage style," Uncle Sam’s Cellar likes to reamain a sanctuary for the authentic. I like to provide a deep dive and a narrative with most pieces because when you buy a piece of history, you are buying the evidence as well.
I also take pricing seriously as well, if you BYOR (Bring your own research) to me on why something is priced too high I will review and consider your Bid price.
One of my favorite shows growing up was Pawn Stars, I always liked the stories an item told when someone brought them into their shop.
